Divya Khandke
Divya Khandke is a Senior Program Manager at the Washington Housing Conservancy working at the nexus of social impact and real estate. In her role, Divya provides social impact strategy implementation, data and public policy analysis, community engagement, design, and strategic planning. Divya was previously the Graduate Associate intern with WHC from 2020-2021 before coming on board full-time as a program associate in the summer of 2021. Prior to WHC, Divya worked in the think-tank sphere as a program coordinator for the German Marshall Fund’s (GMF) Cities Program in Washington, DC. At GMF, Divya strengthened her knowledge of urban policy recommendations for innovative and inclusive transatlantic cities. She has also worked with Alternatives for Community & Environment (ACE), an environmental justice nonprofit based in Boston and the offices of sustainability at Furman University and Davidson College. Divya has a Bachelor’s in sociology from Davidson College and a Master’s in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design with a concentration in housing, community, and economic development.
