Juanita Perilla

Juanita Perilla is a Social Impact Coordinator at the Washington Housing Conservancy (WHC). Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Juanita has an interdisciplinary bilingual background that includes social science, research assistance, public policy, communications, and small business creation. Prior to WHC, Juanita was an international student in the U.S., an intern at Capitol Hill, and a world traveler enthusiast. In Colombia, she was a research assistant at her alma mater, and a media analyst for projects related to Nigerian and U.S. politics.

Juanita also founded a small online business with a social impact purpose, and co-created The Golf Queens (Colombia); an organization that seeks to promote and empower women’s golf in Latin America.

Juanita earned a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Sociocultural Studies, and minored in Government and Journalism at The University of Los Andes, Colombia. She also temporarily studied English and British Culture in London, and recently finished a Bachelor’s in Theology. Juanita’s interests include human development, improving quality of life, access to opportunities, business ethics, and responsible tourism.
